Many companies produce literacy activities based in ICT, a specific good example is the BBC website which to my knowlege is widely used across the primary years. However there are may opportunites through Literacy to engage and motivate childrens literacy skills using ICT.
I personally explored setting up specific learning objectives, weekly sounds, using an adaptable resource website, Classtool.net a few are exampled below.
The children continuously played the games on the classroom computer and used their knowledge to collaborate with others. The resource is easily and readily accessed and is used by approximately 30% of the cohort during child-initiated sessions, normally about 10%.
